2004 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir
93 Points
“Deeply fruited in its aroma with just the right bit of oak and accents of sweet smoke ... it is filled with fruit that is all Californian.”
Connoisseurs’ Guide, June 2007
2005 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir
94 Points
“The pure and precise cherryish fruit that marks the best Russian River Pinots is in full evidence right from start here, and it stays the course with remarkable persistence from the wine’s deep, keenly defined nose all the way through to its lengthy finish … showing a fine sense of polish and crafting, this one tempts early drinking but is structured for keeping and will improve.”
Connoisseurs’ Guide, June 2008
2006 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir
93 points
“This is Merry Edwards’ personal vineyard, and as the vines gain age, the wines get better and better. The 2006 is young and grapey and needs time in the cellar to come around. It’s a powerhouse of a wine, stuffed with black and red cherry, currant, Dr. Pepper and Asian spice flavors. Impresses for the sheer depth of flavor and overall balance. Best after 2010, if you can keep your hands off it.”

2007 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir
97 points
“A splendid, near-perfect Pinot, although it’s very young and will benefit from time in the bottle. Few Pinots offer richer, more massive flavors. Just explodes on the palate with raspberries, cherries, persimmons, Dr. Pepper cola, mocha and cinnamon spices, yet the tannin-acid structure keeps it all balanced. A joy to drink as it warms and changes in the glass.”

2008 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir
93 points
“Meredith Estate is now a Merry Edwards staple and it is consistently delicious. The 2008 is a very good example of the vineyard's potential, showing strong notes of cherry, spice and cola, with firm tannins and excellent persistence of flavor through a lingering finish. This is a wine that typically drinks best five to seven years out from the vintage, so it's a good candidate to cellar.”

2006 Angel Wing Pinot Noir*
96 Points
“One whiff tells you this will be a great wine. Satiny smooth, it delivers an alluring combination of ripe black fruit and herbal savory notes. It walks the fine line of being intense and concentrated without being flamboyant or overdone. With the complexity and nuances of a great wine, it’s a joy to come back to sip after sip.”Michael Apstein, Wine Review Online, September 2009
*Angel Wing is a special bottling dedicated to Merry’s late son, Warren, and made from lots hand-selected from Meredith Estate.
