Merry Edwards Presents a Limited Library Offering:
A Collection of 2010 Vineyard Designate Pinot Noirs

2010 Flax Vineyard Pinot Noir
94 points, Cellar Selection
“Merry Edwards has had a long relationship with this Westside Road vineyard, which has given her some very great wines. This 2010 continues her offering of delicious Pinots of early appeal, but whose structural integrity guarantees ageability. The wine is lush in raspberries, cherries and currants, yet is elegant and crisp in acidity. You can drink it now, but it will gain in the bottle after 2018.”
Steve Heimoff, Wine Enthusiast, October 2013

2010 Meredith Estate Pinot Noir
95 points
“Merry Edwards has scored the vinous equivalent of a hat trick with this trio of 2010 Pinot Noirs (Klopp Ranch, Flax Vineyard and Meredith Estate). This one exemplifies her style of Pinot Noir, bold yet refined. … Its complexity reveals itself over time as the tannins give way to a plethora of dark fruit and engaging earthiness. … I would cellar this one for several years at least to let it soften.”
Michael Apstein, Wine Review Online, September 2013

2010 Coopersmith Pinot Noir
95 points
“Merry Edwards’ signature of exceptional deliciousness and drinkability, coupled with seemingly neverending depth. This is rich in acids and soft tannins, but the flavors set it apart. Notes of raspberry, cherry, cola, tea, licorice, pepper and sandalwood abound and evolve with every sip.”
Steve Heimoff, Wine Enthusiast, March 2013

2010 Olivet Lane Pinot Noir
95 points
“Youthful, but not astringent, tannins are apparent in the Olivet Lane. A splendid array of earth notes and black fruit come through in waves. It’s smoky and succulent. More intense, than big, it is not heavy or ponderous. This luxurious wine grows and blossoms in the glass. And best of all, the finish has attractive bitter notes, not the sweetness often marring California Pinot Noir. I’d cellar this one for a few years.”
Michael Apstein, Wine Review Online, January 2013

2010 Georganne Pinot Noir
92 points
“Dark-hued, this is rich in blackberry, raspberry and plum-laced fruit, with firm tannins boding well for the future. Tightly focused, long and deep on the finish, offering rose petal and lavender.”
James Laube, Wine Spectator, March 2013

2010 Klopp Ranch Pinot Noir
92+ points
“Broad, plush and rich, with dark berry flavors complicated by smoky soil tones, cocoa powder, spices, herbs and espresso. A bit youthfully aggressive and quite backward today, finishing with slightly dry-edged, dusty tannins. But this impressively deep, long pinot showed building sweetness as it opened in the glass and appears to have the stuffing for a graceful evolution in bottle.”
Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar, May 2013
