The wine "opens with a musty Old World bouquet with a hint of blueberry in the background. It is full-bodied,
well balanced, and very smooth with spicy black raspberry flavors with hints of oak and black pepper.
Its moderate tannins made it a crowd pleaser and is very food-friendly. It was a perfect match for our
Arctic Char."

"Combining ripe fruit suggesting cherries and a touch of stone fruits in its aromas, this wine also shows a dense, brooding side that has yet to find its full voice. Full-bodied and somewhat chewy in its tannins, concentrated in its tight yet generous fruit flavors and firming up toward the finish, this one deserves four to six years of cellaring and will emerge with a more open and expressive personality."

"Strikes a wonderful balance between delicacy, finesse and subtle rich earthy flavors, serving up a mix of loamy cherry and berry, mineral and forest floor ... (with) a long finish."

"Medium to dark garnet in color, this wine has a nose of cranberry, pomegranate and an exotic note of cinnamon. In the mouth it is round and cool with nicely balanced, deep cranberry flavors and a, light woody quality that persists through a very nice finish."
